Hixon Creek/Falls

The prefect spot to spend the day when it gets to 39 degrees!!! (so much for the north being cool...)
Hixon Creek was about an hours drive away from home, 45 mins on the road and 15 mins on dirt.
The water was a perfect temperature, on this picture you can kind of see where a branch overhangs the water, well it is nice and deep right there, and Jared promptly sat in that pool to cool off.

We set up in the shade were we could put our feet in the water.

Jared's truck found a nice shady spot too!

Hazel got to put her feet creek water for the first time. It was a little cold, but after a while she didn't seem to mind it at all.

Nice little walk to check out the water fall.

It was a lovely place to be! Saw a few people, but they all went to check out the falls right away, so for the most part we had the creek to ourselves!

Growing!

Hazel is 1 month and 12 days old! She is weighing in at 8 pounds and 11 ounces, which is quite the accomplishment for us as we were having some difficulty gaining weight. But in the last 5 days she gaining 1/2 a pound! So it seems like we have got that problem solved!

To celebrate I tried to do a photo shoot...(emphasis on tried...) also I just think this outfit is really cute!

Straighten Things Out

The tractor is now running well and being put to work! The wood shed was at a funny angle, and my request to straighten it out got a bit of a skeptical look from Jared, but they were willing to try!

The tractor was actually able to lift up the wood shed!

Opps.. one corner cracked a little bit...

But they were able to straighten that out too!

Finishing touches, trying to get is level...ish...

Job well done!
Way to go Pastor Tim and Jared! Oh, and don't forget the tractor!

Time with Daddy

Happy Fathers Day!
My heart smiles many times a day! Jared and Hazel are getting along really well!
I've been so proud of how Jared has been handling Hazel over the past 6 weeks. Being a Daddy comes   more naturally to him then he thinks.

Hazel really likes Daddy's whistling.
(the video only shows up on the blog, not the email...)

Nechako Ridge

We went for a hike up Nechako Ridge on Sunday evening with the Prince George church family. It was quite the steep hike, and my lungs were not use to that so it took a while to get to the top... but it was quite the view!

A Saturday (Mostly) Outside

This chunk of grass was starting to get a bit out of hand... Saturday was a nice sunny day to start!
Hazel nicely napped in the buggy!
Much better! Jared did do some weedwacking after I took the picture though.
Then Hazel and I watched daddy mow the rest of the lawn.
Hazel really likes to stretch now.
