Wrapping up the Week

Chantelle and I painted the nursery on Thursday, and I managed to install a new light switch and change out the light bulbs, which made a huge difference.

This is the finished product:

This is half way through, when I had only changed out one light bulb, you can't see it very well on the picture, but 60W works a lot better than 15W...
Here is my very fuzzy before picture.. the walls are pink and brown and the baseboard heater is green...
We went for a walk at LC Gunn Park on Sunday afternoon, it was a beautiful fall day and the sun was shining through the trees! I think we will be going here a few more times, it was so lovely.

You end up walking right on the top of the embankments which gives lots of nice views of the river and landscape.

Hazel is starting to grab at things and put them in her mouth...one of the first victims was the octopus.

Finding a Rhythm in the Fall

Fall is here, which means that fires are here too! I missed having the wood stove on! Hazel seems to like it too.
Fall also seems to be a time for funny faces...managed to snag this picture while in a video chat with Mom and Corday. She sure loves those fingers!
We went for a walk with Grandpa and Grandma when they came for a visit, sure feels like fall at Cotton Wood Island Park. Started to rain just as we got back in the car, good timing!

Thanks to Grandpa I finally got Hazel's laugh on video!
The trees are starting to change colour in our back yard as well.
Nova keeps growing too!
Fall brings lots of different temperatures with causing lots of thunderstorms but, also lots of rainbows!
Nicole came over today and we turned the box of apples the G and G gave us into applesauce, apple muffins, apple squares and some cut up apples to bake something with later! Thanks again G and G!
Went for a walk today! Hazel loves the windy weather.
Found these pretty trees on our walk, I love how they fade into each other so perfectly!
Hopefully this makes up for my lack of posts over the last few days... It has been a bit tricky finding my rhythm back, but I think I'm on a good start this week!
HUGS!

Rolling into Four Months!

Hazel is 4 months already! We have been in Prince George for 7 months already! Wow, time sure flys!

So here is another attempt at a photo shoot, but it is sure hard to try get pictures of Hazel when she is able to roll and I also found that it is hard to get a picture of Hazel rolling....doesn't seem very fair to me...

I gave up after this one...
So I put her back on the middle of the blanket to look through my pictures, none of which actually turned out very well... I turned back to look at Hazel a few moment later and she had rolled a ways off the blanket!
About 5 minutes later...
Jared and I are guessing when she is going to be crawling...Jared guessed by the end of September...I'm hoping she doesn't learn till the end of October...

Thankfully the mat and the wall keep her somewhat contained for now...

Below is a video of Hazel rolling over both ways, I have yet to get a video of her rolling all the way over, but I will share it if I manage to get one.

It's Official

All dressed up in his coveralls and fire depart hat! Jared is officially on call for the Pineview Volunteer Fire Department (for the last month at lest...I'm a bit behind on my posts...). So far there has only been what Jared calls "burnt toast" calls, but I'm sure there will be more interesting calls to come. Eventually they did come but we were in the valley both times....
He even got a Pineview Fire Department plate for his truck which he proudly put on right away!
