Leaps and Bounds

This post is kind of a collection of odds and ends over the past 2 or so months...some pictures and videos that just didn't really fit with other posts but I think are worth sharing!

This is when Hazel was starting to notice her feet a lot more, she really likes the little Koala's on her feet in this video. The way that she wiggles her feet gets me every time! (Video below)
Though she is not crawling that doesn't prevent Hazel from getting around...the other day I found her "hiding" behind the coffee table.
I also started to pull out the bigger stuffies to play with, she does seem to like them, but nothing beats the tags that come along with the stuffies!

Every other Tuesday evening there is a Ladies bible study that I go to, which means that Jared gets to take care of Hazel 😊 This is what I came home to last time!😍 Melts my mommy heart!
Hazel is learning how to sit on her own! Which is great because sometimes she gets tired or annoyed of being on her tummy...

She also learned that this pillow makes a great lounge chair!
Hazel is also playing, grabbing and eating all of her toys now! This one that Uncle Braedan made seems partially tasty! (Video below)
For a change of scenery I started putting one of the couch seats back, and then she can look out the window...
and watch the snow!!!
Overall Hazel has been learning and experiencing lots of new things!

Nova and Hazel

I've been dreaming about taking a picture like this since we got Nova! Both Hazel and Nova are around the 5 1/2 - 6 month mark and they are starting to be more interested in each other. I have tired this a few times before but Nova would just get up and walk away... this time she actually stayed laying down and didn't seem to mind Hazel to much!
Even Nova is smiling!

Flashbacks and Recreating

Hazel is 6 months old!
She is not crawling yet, but she doesn't stay on her playmat very long...she can push herself backward, roll over and purposely turn around in circles on her tummy, which get her lots of places, just not closer to her toys...
When Mom came up to visit we tried to recreate some of the pictures from the very first photoshoot we did with Hazel. It was a little bit tricky as Hazel didn't really fit in the basket anymore and would much rather play with the props then smile for the pictures...

Our 4 Legged Friend

Hazel is not the only one growing in leaps and bounds over here! I'm pretty sure that Nova has already more the doubled her size! She is calming down a bit and is not quite a jumpy but that all being said she is still a puppy.
She really likes this pink broken ball that Jared found in the long grass...
But the other day I found a tennis ball... she never gave that it back to me once she had it... (video below)
Hazel hasn't show much interested in Nova, she will watch her from time to time, but not much. Nova on the other hand is very interested in Hazel and will often just lay by the buggy whenever Hazel in it.
Jared also loves to play with Nova, and Nova it starting to figure out that she can play a bit more ruff with Jared then with me.
The other day we went back to the lagoon to look over the work Jared has been doing around it. We took Nova along and she was quite busy sniffing out bunnies. Jared took a video, I love her jump at the end. 😅 (video below)

Wood Rack

In the process of getting ready for winter it seemed like a good idea to have more wood stored in the house. So the idea of a wood rack was born. Jared happened to find a metal skid at work that had the right size metal that we were looking for!!!

After some grinding and cutting and welding it started to take shape.
Then it was painted then it got moved into the house!!!
And filled with wood...
Once the baby gates that I ordered for the wood stove show up then our setup will be complete, and it looks like I will be needing those gates very soon as Hazel is already getting onto her knees and elbows.

It's Blue!!!

When we lived in Chilliwack then I had painted a wall in our living room blue, and I really liked it! So before we even moved to PG I planned to paint a wall in this living room the same blue. I finally got around to it last week and I'm super happy with it, I find in brightens up the whole room!
