Meet Nova

Nova is our new puppy! She is a 14 week old Australian Shepherd x Newfy. She is super calm for a puppy and does this cute butt scooch when she sitting down but not quite close enough to you.

Jared kept driving yesterday and picked her up, that way we can start settling in to our new normal right away.

Three Months and Counting

3 Months and 9 Days! 

Hazel is growing lots this month! Suddenly she seems so big and for sure out of the newborn stage!

It was a little hard to catch lots of smiles this time as she really likes to have her fingers in her mouth and roll from side to side...but I managed to snag a couple.

I had to put this one in because she looks like she is about to punch something! Which I thought was pretty funny! She is actually trying to put here fingers back in her mouth after I pulled them out...but that is besides the point...

There is a smile behind those fingers!

Today I had to take the infant insert out of the car seat! She takes up a lot more of that car seat then she use too!

The second picture is of Hazel when we left the Hospital, she only takes up the infant insert that I just took out! 

A Little Giraffe

So this is the first outfit that Jared thought was super cute and actually said so! So I figured it deserved some pictures!

 

Discovery Yard

As you may have found out already our yard has a lot of character...

This week I found a lot of hidden things! 

Stormy (The Schouten's dog that we are taking care of while they are gone) is hiding under the deck, in this picture you can see her tongue and a bit of her nose!

A birds nest in the grass by the play house, thankful Jared didn't wreck it when he was weedwacking all the grass in that area!

Honestly there is a rake in this picture, I don't know if I would ever have found it if it was not for the pop can that I picked up that happened to be on top of it.

I managed to pull the rake out, unfortunately the handle broke... but Stormy was quite happy with her new stick!

 I also unburied another large piece of wood! Still not sure how a 6-10ft 2x6 can hide for that long...

And this is the collection of wood that we have found in the yard to far..... and I'm sure there is more hiding out there yet...
